Our Story

More Than A Store

For more than a century, this corner of Warren Center has been a place where neighbors gathered, travelers stopped, and stories were shared.

What began as a small country store in 1914 has changed names, owners, and even locations over the years, but its purpose has remained remarkably similar: serving the people of this community.

When our family became part of that story in 2017, we knew we weren't simply purchasing a building but we were becoming stewards of a place that already meant something to generations of local families.

A Century of Community

1914

The story began over a century ago with a small country store serving the people of Warren Center. Long before highways and chain stores, it was a place where neighbors stopped for groceries, travelers took a break, and lots of conversation happened.

A New Home

1938

After a devastating fire in 1938, the store was rebuilt at its current location and reopened in 1940. Though the building changed, its purpose remained the same, to serve the people of Warren Center.

Generations of Service

1940-2023

Over the decades, the building changed hands and names, becoming Arrowhead Store, Jones Store, Moran’s Store, Wagner's General Store, and later returning once again to Jones Store when the Dewing family bought it in 2017. Through every chapter, it remained a familiar landmark for the community.

A New Beginning

2026

After closing in 2023, our family spent the next several years asking one question: "What could this place become?" From 2025 through 2026, nearly every corner of the building was thoughtfully restored, reimagined, and rebuilt.

A room under renovation with tools, construction materials, and equipment scattered around. The ceiling is unfinished with exposed drywall and installed recessed lighting. Large windows covered with protective sheets are visible, along with various construction supplies and a circular saw on the right side.

The Center

2026

Today, The Center represents the next chapter in a story more than one hundred years in the making, a place built on hospitality, community, and the belief that gathering together still matters.
